Neuroscience and Cognitive Sciences II

Aims

Basic knowledge of the anatomo-functional organisation and biology of the nervous system.
Basic knowledge of the cognitive functions of the central nervous system.

Programme

The course aims to stimulate the acquisition of basic knowledge of the anatomo-functional organisation and biology of the nervous system, a fundamental and indispensable requirement for a scientific approach to psychology.

  • Sleep and brain rhythms

  • Attention and consciousness

  • Memory systems and mechanisms of brain plasticity

Exam

Learning verification will consist of a written examination (multiple-choice questions) and an optional oral examination.
