Aims
The course delves into the stages of cognitive, emotional, and relational development by considering biological, social, and cultural factors. At the end of the course, students will be able to recognize the milestones of development and to evaluate developmental trajectories associated with typical development. The second part of the course will illustrate the developmental tasks typical of different evolutionary stages from birth to elderly age, with particular attention to the developmental issues associated with them. The course will conclude with an overview of the foundations of developmental clinical psychology.

Social and personality development: development of self-perception, social self, and prosocial and moral competences

Ageing and elderly psychology
Introduction to developmental psychopathology: learning disabilities, ADHD, Oppositional-Defiant Disorder, Autism
Exam
The achievement of course objectives will be assessed through a final written and oral examination.
