Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Conduct a systematic review of scientific literature according to PRISMA guidelines
Syllabus
Example materials will be provided for each of the following points and guided exercises will be suggested:
- Characteristics of a systematic review
- The PRISMA checklist
- Searching the scientific literature through online databases
- How to build a search string
- Selecting articles following inclusion/exclusion criteria
- Presentation of results
Esame
The exam will consist of preparation of a powerpoint presentation and oral presentation including all the steps necessary for writing a systematic review of the scientific literature according to PRISMA guidelines on a topic chosen by each student.
